Absinthe
There was a party at Silvia's place. I told her since i was still sick, i would only drink juice, but she insisted drinking alcohol kills off the germs, and that was why her dad was hardly ill.

At 70% alcohol content, Absinthe was the drink of the party, and the highlight was learning to drink it.

Step 1: Pour Absinthe into a shot glass
Step 2: Soak a sugar cube in Absinthe, then light it
Step 3: When flame burns out, stir the sugar in
Step 4: Set the drink on fire, cover your palm over it, flip upside down and shake
Step 5: Down it at one go if you're game, or dilute and drink

Towards the end, we spent almost an hour debating on Kanapka (damn nice sandwich that you can find at food stands along streets in Poland) The question was if you had a sandwich, half of which was better than the other, which would you eat first. Most of us agreed we would save the best for the last, but Monica was adamant that it is more logical to eat the best one first. Assumptions were drawn, graphs even! It was ridiculous but super hilarious.
